The machinery cooperative Schindlbeck&Mayer, located in the municipality of Geisenhausen, Lower Bavaria, recently invested in a new SIP AIR HD 900 T pick-up rake.

Mr. Schindlbeck operates a dairy farm and was previously working with a 4-rotor central rake. AndMr. Mayer manages a bull farm with sow breeding (breeding of pigs) and used to work with a single-rotor rake.

Both farmers decided to invest in the pick-up rake technology due to new environmental regulations in Germany, requiring strip-wise slurry application from January 1, 2025. With this regulation in place, reducing forage contamination becomes crucial, and the pick-up rake AIR HD 900 T provides a significant advantage in maintaining clean, high-quality forage.

Before their purchase, Schindlbeck and Mayer carefully researched SIP’s pick-up rake technology and tested another brand of pick-up rake. However, the SIP AIR HD 900 T convinced them with its outstanding benefits:

  • Excellent price-performance ratio
  • 3-year warranty for added reliability
  • Significant time savings in the forage harvesting process (proven in two field tests)
  • Unmatched flexibility (central and side swath formation, adjustable settings)
  • Superior maneuverability, even on smaller or irregular fields

Additionally, both farmers plan to use the machine for shared contracting services, aiming for an annual usage of approximately 500 hectares.
