The professional high-performance SPIDER HD SIP rotary tedders are adapted for working on large areas. They are designed to meet the needs of the largest farms, agricultural companies, and contractors. The durable and reliable construction, combined with the innovative rotor design, ensures even spreading or turning of forage without damage to the turf. With a large working width, they offer maximum time and energy efficiency.
Rotor for optimum spreading
The innovative rotor design prevents damage to the turf and ensures clean forage. All models in the HD line are equipped with 1.45 m diameter rotors. The supporting rotor is made of 4 mm thick steel with a lower ring to provide additional reinforcement. The rotor drive consists of robust gear castings and gears in semi-fluid grease to ensure quiet and smooth operation.
The spring tines are robustly mounted on round tubular spring finger holders with plastic safety pins to retain the spring finger in the event of breakage. The spring tines are truncated with the inner finger shorter than the outer finger, which prevents the fingers from rubbing on the ground and introducing soil and sand into the forage. Curved spring tines are also available.
The operation of the turner can be adjusted to the height of the cut and the quantity and moisture of the forage cut by adjusting the angle of the scatter on the rotors. However, the spring tines can be further adjusted by adjusting the coupling height. For the trailed versions, the patented rotor height and spread angle adjustment is available from 13° to 19° and 15° to 21°.

Perfect adaptation to the terrain
SIP’s SPIDER HD rotary tedders with welded rectangular profile are extremely durable and ensure smooth operation even in the toughest conditions. The modular design of the interconnected segmented rotors allows a wide range of vertical adjustment to the ground, even on very rugged, uneven terrain.
The linked protection railings give the machine additional stability and rigidity during operation. These are connected to the central mounting point of the lifting joint, thus reducing the loads on the central frame and distributing them evenly over the entire width of the machine.

Reliable performance in all conditions
The driveline for the mounted models consists of an input PTO shaft with safety clutch. On trailed models, the driveline consists of a wide-angle input PTO shaft and a PTO shaft with a safety clutch. The central drive system of the tedders consists of a hexagonal axle and a central drive with gears in an oil bath.
The drive on all the universal joints is equipped with a finger clutch, which ensures a durable and reliable operation. The FC DRIVE (Finger Clutch Drive) is maintenance-free and ensures reliable power transmission under all operating conditions .
The double safety clutch, specially developed for the 13 m and 15 m working width tedders of HD line, protects the rotor system by dividing the torque transmission to each side of the machine separately. In the event of an overload, it prevents drive failure and thus ensures the safety of the turning system.

Wide range of equipment for different working conditions
All models in the HD line can be equipped with curved spring tines, which can be selected when ordering the machine or are available as optional equipment. All are available with a mechanical or hydraulic side curtain and intermediate reduction gear for night swaths. Anti-grass wrap shields on the wheels of the turning system and spare wheels can also be chosen.
When ordering trailed models, transport frame wheels must be chosen as part of the obligatory equipment. Two types of standard wheels are available, tractor profile wheels and floatation type wheels, which are suitable for wetter areas. Wheel cleaners are also available for work in muddy conditions. All towed models are equipped as standard with road safety and lighting equipment.
Triled models are available with different types of hitches as well as hydraulic and air brakes. Hydraulic adjustment of working height and spreading angle and electro-hydraulic control are also available. The latter must be selected if the hydraulic working height and angle adjustment is selected.
The operation requires 1x single-acting (1SA) and 1x double-acting (1DA) hydraulic connection. If the hydraulic curtain is selected as optional equipment, a further 1x double-acting (1DA) connection is required. For trailed models where hydraulic height adjustment is available in addition to the hydraulic curtain, a remote control is also required.

Mounted and trailed models
SIP’s SPIDER HD rotary tedders offer 4 different working widths. The eight-rotor and ten-rotor tedders are available in mounted or trailed versions, with the largest twelve- and fourteen-rotor models being only trailed.
The mounted versions are equipped with a flexible three-point hitch Cat. II with stabilisers, allowing easy tractor tracking. The innovative hydraulic system allows easy machine control in working and transport position.
The trailed model is equipped with an adjustable drawbar and transport frame for speeds up to 40 km/h. The unique hydraulic folding system makes it easy to prepare for work, transport and reverse while working.

Robust, compact and lightweight
The eight-rotor SPIDER HD 900|8 /T has a working width of 8.80 m and a capacity of up to 13.00 ha/h.
The weight of the mounted model is 1490 kg and requires a tractor with a minimum of 74 kW or 100 hp to operate. The transport width is 2.80 m, the height 3.40 m and the length 2.20 m.
The weight of the trailed model is 2200 kg and the minimum tractor power required is 48 kW or 60 hp. The transport width is 2,98 m, the height 2,45 m and the length 4,98 m.
