After a long break due to the corona pandemic, a Grünlandtag day was well attended for the first time in Bahren near Grimma at the end of June. SIP presented its variety of disc mowers, rotary tedders, rotary rakes, and pick-up rakes for small and large farms, agricultural cooperatives, and contractors in practice with its sales partner NewTec Ost. The largest Slovenian agricultural machinery manufacturer impressed at the Grünlandtag day with particularly powerful machines for professional use.
Powerful mower combination with a working width of 15 meters
The start of the day was with the world’s largest trailed mower, which was shown in practice for the first time in Germany: With the large mower SILVERCUT DISC 1500 T FC, SIP presented an impressive performance. The total of five separate mowers ensures a remarkable mowing result with an area performance of up to 22.5 ha/h – ideal for contractors and large companies that rely on making efficient use of short periods of good weather. With the hydro-pneumatic suspension, the mower combination offers a perfect adaptation to the terrain even at high speeds.
Fast drying and optimal spreading
The rotary tedders and rotary rakes also focus on high area outputs with the best forage quality: with the SPIDER 1100|10 T rotary tedder, SIP ensures the highest forage quality through spreading precision and the shortest possible drying time.
The forage harvesting specialist also achieved enthusiasm with two rotary rakes at the field day in Grimma: the STAR 850I26 T enables the swath width to be continuously adjusted hydraulically even during work, STAR 1250I50 T 4-rotor rake impressed with its spring tines, which always stay parallel to the ground, ensuring that raking remains clean at any speed, even on uneven terrains.
High-quality forage with the pick-up rake
The AIR 300 F ALP pick-up rake did an impressive job. It is ideal for dairy farms with special demands on feed quality and also especially for mountain regions. The modern swath technology ensures excellent responsiveness to changes in the terrain and thus picks up the cleanest forage without contamination.
Strong sales partnership with NewTec Ost since 2019
The field day was organized by the SIP sales partner NewTec Ost Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH. Tino Kießig, who works in sales management for NewTec Ost, is enthusiastic about the cooperation with the forage harvesting specialist and the successful Grünlandtag day: “Two years ago, we found a partner in SIP who has the right technology, the best quality, and offers great performance. Today we were able to present first-class mowers, tedders, and rakes. It’s fun to be a partner of SIP,” explains Kießig.
Those involved are visibly pleased with this successful start after a long break of this kind of event. “After a long period of abstinence, it is nice to meet the customers again and to see the machines in practical field use. This has been missing in the last few months,” said Kießig.
