It’s All About the Swath – Exceptional Agility, High Efficiency And Flexibility with new STARs on the field

Introducing our latest rotary rakes innovations, a new generation of rotary rakes designed with precision and excellence, born from years of collaboration with professionals in the field. Presenting the STAR R 860|26 TS and STAR R 930|28 TC, these machines are engineered to fit to the needs of medium to large farms and contractors seeking robust and powerful equipment that excels in performance, ease of maintenance, operation, and seamless field-to-field transitions.

The side delivery rake, STAR R 860|26 TS, offers remarkable versatility with a maximum working width of 7,20 meters for creating a single side swath. This configuration enables customers to efficiently produce swaths within a 15-metre wide corridor in just two passes. Additionally, it can create two smaller side swaths, covering up to 8,85 meters. This versatile machine has a capacity of up to 12,50 hectares per hour, delivering exceptional efficiency and flexibility to meet professional users’ needs.

On the other hand, the STAR R 930|28 TC boasts a maximum working width of 9.30 meters and a capacity of 13 hectares per hour, catering to those with even larger operational demands. With this top-tier equipment, you can count on reliable performance in the field.

Both families of central-delivery and side-delivery rotary rakes are available in several working widths with varying levels of basic equipment. Leading the pack in the new family of side-delivery rakes is the STAR R 860|26 TS, which is currently our largest offering. In the upcoming seasons, we plan to introduce a smaller models to complement this lineup.

On the other hand, the STAR R 930|28 TC is currently the second largest model in the central-delivery rake family (An: STAR 1000|30 T is the largest model in our portfolio). Alongside it, we have the slightly smaller STAR R 870|26 TC. Looking ahead, we have plans to introduce two smaller models to expand the range of options in the coming seasons.

H-models Featuring Hydro Pneumatic Suspension (HPS) and Hydraulic Rotor Adjustement

Within our new range of rotary rakes, we offer two different equipment configurations to meet variety of users needs:

  1. Basic Configuration: This option includes mechanical rotor relief and mechanical rotor height adjustment with mechanical swath curtian adjustements, providing reliable and essential functionality.
  2. Advanced “H” Configuration: Our advanced configuration, marked as “H,” offers an elevated level of performance and convenience. It comes equipped with hydro-pneumatic rotor relief and hydraulic rotor height adjustment, enhancing operational efficiency and precision. Additionally, for the STAR R 860|26 TS H, hydraulically adjustable rear swath curtain comes as standard equipment, and a front hydraulically adjustable swath curtain is available as an optional feature, enabeling you to fine-tune your raking process to your specific requirements. The STAR R 930|28 TC, on the other hand, features a central swath curtain ensuring the production of uniform trapezoidal swaths, regardless of the amount of forage. This central curtain, equipped with a lifting cylinder on »H« model, prevents lifting during a partial lift of the rotors ensuring that equal swath is formed even when only one rotor is in work.

These advanced features, such as hydro-pneumatic suspension and hydraulic adjustments, ensure that our “H” models deliver superior performance and adaptability, making them an excellent choice for those seeking enhanced capabilities in their agricultural equipment.  Moreover, the rotor suspension and the 3D+ rotor linkage, in combination with SIP’s patented triple-walking tandem on the rotor chassis, significantly enhance ground adaptation and tracking. This design ensures smooth operation without rotor bouncing, even on uneven terrain, further contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of our rotary rakes.

New Arch Design and Impressive 155° Turning Angle

The exceptional agility of our new generation STAR models is the result of innovative engineering. At the centre of this agility is the pivoting linkage, with an extraordinary 155° turning angle (75,5° in each direction). This linkage is integrated with a robust steering mechanism that’s connected to the rear wheels of the transport frame. This groundbreaking design ensures maximum machine agility, even when dealing with the extensive 9,30-meter transport frame of the STAR R 860|26 TS or the 6,75-meter frame of the STAR 930|28 TC.

Sequential Rotor Lift (SRL) on STAR R 860|26 TS

Enhancing agility and adaptility, the side delivery STAR R 860|26 TS comes equipped with Sequential Rotor Lift (SLR) as a standard feature. This technology alllows you to customize the delay in partial lift of the rear rotor., alowing users to fine-tune their raking process according to the amount of forage and the specific demands of the field. With SRL, you can optimize the performance of your machine while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

STAR R 930|28 TC with central »Y-Drive«

The proven concept of Y-shaped central gearbox at new STAR R 930|28 TC significantly reduces loads on the PTO shafts and ensures a longer service life:

  • Extended drive line lifespan: By minimizing PTO shaft angles, this technology enhances the durability of the drive line, reducing wear and tear over time.
  • Improved ground adaptation: Larger rotor adjustment angles provide better ground adaptation, ensuring optimal raking even on uneven terrain
  • Enhanced comfort: The “Y-drive” allows for higher partial lift, significantly improving the driving experience both over the swaths and on the headlands.

STAR R 860|26 TS with patented »Z-Drive«

The patented »Z-drive« PTO drive line arrangement within the STAR R 860|26 TS offers following benefits to your operation:

  • Extended drive line lifespan: By minimizing PTO shaft angles, this technology enhances the durability of the drive line, reducing wear and tear over time.
  • Improved ground adaptation: Larger rotor adjustment angles provide better ground adaptation, ensuring optimal raking even on uneven terrain.
  • Enhanced comfort: The “Z-drive” allows for higher partial lifts up to 500 mm, significantly improving the driving experience both over the swaths and on the headlands.
