With the AIR R 300 F and AIR R 350 F pick-up rakes, forage quality is guaranteed. The SIP AIR R F front pick-up rakes lift the forage from the ground and deposit it in the side swath without the forage being run over by the tractor wheels. The combination of innovative technologies ensures efficient harvesting of forage of higher quality. The machine is the perfect solution for raking all types of grassland as well as straw and crop residues.

Flexible pick-up unit

The flexible pick-up unit with a segmented central axis allows for excellent adjustment as it follows the ground in a curve instead of a straight line. In addition to an optimal adaptation, this also ensures a clean and evenly shaped swath.

The pick-up unit includes a smaller diameter rotor of 0.33 m, a roller for preventing forage slippage and a finger rotor for efficient forage flow. This ensuresa steady forage flow without turbulence and forage accumulation in front of the pick-up. This prevents the loss of leaves and nutrients in the forage.

The drive of the flexible pick-up unit and the finger rotor is hydraulic and offers maximum efficiency. For both models, an oil flow of 50-55 l/min is recommended.

Curved spring tines

The spring tines on the pick-up unit are curved in the opposite direction of travel and give a trailing effect. This ensures a gentle and quick lift of the forage from the ground while reducing the introduction of stones and sand into the swath. As a result, safe working with the pick-up device of the combine harvester, baler or loading trailer is also ensured.

The spring tines are equipped with an anti-loss system. This consists of a split plastic element and a metal clamp. In the event of a breakage, the spring tine remains in position.

Each segment holds six spring tines at a time, which also ensures quick and easy maintenance.

Hydropneumatic suspension

The SIP AIR R F front pick-up rakes are equipped with a robust three-point linkage, Cat. II. with integrated hydropneumatic suspension system. This ensures excellent responsiveness, even weight distribution and uniform ground pressure. Easy and efficient adjustment is thus possible on all types of terrain.

Freely rotating skids

360° freely rotating skids are installed close to the pick-up unit. These ensure high responsiveness to changes in the terrain and thus reduce wear of the pick-up unit. As the skids rotate freely, no dirt remains on them and there is no risk of mud accumulating under the pick-up unit in wet conditions.

Left or right swath

Both models of front rakes SIP AIR R F are equipped with a 100 cm wide conveyor belt. The direction and the speed of the conveyor belt are easily controlled via a hydraulic motor. The swath can thus be placed on the left or right side of the rake as required. The transparent side guards also allow good visibility of the forage flow during operation.

Standard and optional equipment

SIP AIR R F front pick-up rakes are equipped as standard with road safety and lighting equipment. Mirrors with holders are available as optional equipment. A mecahnical or hydraulic swath curtain is also available as optional equipment and can be mounted on the right side of the machine.

For difficult and rocky terrain, there is a possibility of skids which additionally move the pick-up unit 20 or 40 mm off the ground. For arid terrains with rocky or sandy soil types, robalon skids can be chosen to prevent sparking in the event of contact with stones.

Two models for different user needs

The AIR R 300 F model offers working widths from 3.60 to 4.50 m. The swath width is between 0.60 and 1.50 m. This model offers a working speed of up to 20 km/h and a capacity of up to 5.80 ha/h. Of course, both working speed and capacity depend on the conditions or type of terrain. The weight of this model is 987 kg with a minimum tractor power requirement of 75 kW or 100 HP. The transport width is 3.0 m.

The larger model AIR R 350 F has a working width of 4.10 to 5.0 m with a swath width of between 0.60 and 1.50 m. It has an operating speed of up to 20 km/h and a capacity of up to 7.50 ha/h. It weighs 1152 kg and the tractor power requirement is from a minimum of 90 kW or 120 HP upwards. The transport width of this model is 3,50 m.

The transport height and length are the same for both models, 1,20 m and 1,90 m respectively. The control requires 1x double acting (1DA) hydraulic connection.
