Hydropneumatic suspension of cutter bars
Each cutter bar is equipped with an HPS (Hydropneumatic Suspension System). This independent system ensures optimum ground pressure for each side. The result is excellent ground following and a precise cut, without any sudden jolts, even on uneven surfaces.
The operator can quickly and easily adjust the cutter bar relief before mowing or during operation, depending on the conditions. This simple adjustment ensures cleaner, higher-quality forage and reduces wear on the machine.
Robust cutter bars with SIP technologies
All cutter bars are equipped with advanced SIP technologies to ensure the machine can be used long term and is easy to maintain. The extremely durable cutter bars are made of 4 mm-thick, wear-resistant steel for exceptional resistance.
Each blade features a built-in disc drive protection system, DDSS (Disk Drive Safety System). This SIP safety system includes shear pins. In the event of blade overload, these shear pins absorb the force and break off, thus preventing damage to the discs’ drive. Replacing the shear pins is quick and easy. The drive shaft of each disc is attached to the cutter bar with a double closed bearing. It can withstand high loads, ensuring a long service life for the cutter bar.
Like all SIP mowers, the world’s largest mower combination comes with the Quick-Change System for blades (QCS) as standard. The blades are mounted on spring-loaded holders. These allow the blade to move backwards when it hits an obstacle, providing additional protection. Replacing a worn blade requires only one tool and takes just a few seconds. This reduces maintenance time and enables repairs to be carried out in the field. There is a conveniently located storage space for spare blades and safety pins on the machine.
Innovative hydraulic system
The mower combination features an advanced hydraulic system that facilitates various operating functions and optimises the performance of the machine. The hydraulically adjustable hitch height with shock absorption ensures comfortable transportation and reduces stress on the tractor hitch.
If an obstacle is encountered, the HCSS (Hydraulic Collision Safety System) safety system instantly releases the pressure, allowing the mower units to move back and up. This protects the cutter bars from damage. Once the obstacle has been passed, the mower system automatically returns to its working position.
All four rear mower units are connected by a central hydraulic cutting height adjustment system. This allows the operator to adjust the cutting height of all cutter bars simultaneously. This ensures a consistent cutting height of 4–7 cm and an even cut across the entire working area, regardless of the terrain.
Easy operation and maintenance

The spring-loaded chassis with a steered axle enables excellent manoeuvrability. When turning at the end of the field, the steered axle enables a tighter turning circle. In transport position, the system locks automatically to ensure safe driving. The machine’s transport width is 2.99 m, its height is 3.99 m, and its length is 7.5 m.
The mower combination is also equipped with a central lubrication system that is connected to all the parts of the machine that require lubrication after each mowing, i.e., the most stressed parts. This system saves time on maintenance.
Different solutions for different systems
