    Robust line tedders SPIDER with four, six, or eight rotors are equipped as standard with SIP’s hydraulic steering (HS) system which enables shifting the tedder to the left or right side and prevents spreading the forage outside of the of the field.

    The small diameter of the rotors and the robust double universal joint transmission gives efficient, versatile and long-lasting machines you can rely on.

    The innovative design of the rotors prevents damage to the turf and ensures clean forage. Spreading is fast and even, which allows for quick drying and preservation of nutrients in the forage.

    1 The safety pins hold the spring tines in the event of breakage.

    3 Spring tine holders made of round tubes.

    4 Main rotor plate made of 4 mm steel.

    5 Lower reinforcement ring.

    6 A welded rectangular profile in the HD line.

    7 Robust casts for gearboxes and gears in semi-liquid grease with a lubricator for quiet and smooth running.

    8 The different lengths of spring tines, with the inner tine shorter than the outer, prevent forage contamination.

    With the jockey wheel, the tedder follows the ground one step ahead. This ensures that the working height is always set correctly, the turf is protected, and the spring tines have a longer service life. The additional jockey wheel is especially recommended for working on slopes.

    The innovative geometry of the rotors with spring tines of different lengths ensures optimal forage flow and even spreading. Productivity is improved, while forage stays clean.

    SPREADING ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

    SPREADING ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

    By setting the spreading angle from 12° to 18°, the spreading pattern can be adjusted to the quantity and moisture of forage. As for the height of the cut, the spring tines can be additionally set by adjusting the height of the hitch.

    All tedder models from the ROBUST line are equipped as a standard with the system for hydraulic rotor wheel steering (HS-Hydraulic Steering). When spreading or turning along the edges of the field, the tedder can be shifted left or right. This changes the direction of spreading away from the edge and prevents forage loss. With this system, a small quantity of forage can also be raked into a swath.

    The hydraulic cylinder allows steering of the wheels to the left or to the right via a one-way hydraulic connection. The backpressure is in the hydraulic accumulator on the cylinder.
