Easy attachment to the tractor
A trailed hitch with transport frame is available as standard. A special SIP two-point flexible hitch is also available, with the pivot point moved more to the back. It allows excellent tractor tracking, easy driving through bends, and the manoeuvring of the machine.
The hitch is equipped with a machine inclination indicator to ensure the correct hitch setting on the tractor. This ensures that the tedder is in the correct position for work and transport.
The machine is ISOBUS ready, so it is easily connected to the tractor. For tractors without ISOBUS, a remote control or upgrade to the CCI 1200 is available. Only one 1x double hydraulic connection (1x DA) is needed to operate the machine.
Reliable driveline system
The tedder features a robust hexagonal drive system and a maintenance-free central gear drive with gears in an oil bath. Robust castings of the rotor gears in semi-liquid grease ensure maintenance-free, quiet, and smooth operation.
The driveline consists of a wide-angle input PTO shaft, a free-running clutch, and a PTO shaft with a safety clutch. A special Waltersheid double safety clutch is also available as optional equipment. It protects the rotor system by sharing the torque transmission to each side of the machine separately.
A maintenance-free finger clutch on all hinges ensures reliable power transmission in all working conditions.
Even distribution and exceptional adaptation
Depending on the mowing height and the specifics of the terrain, the hydraulic adjustment of the spring tines’ ground clearance allows optimum adjustment of the spreading pattern from the tractor cab. Depending on forage quantity and moisture, the ejection angle on the rotors is adjustable in three stages: 15˚, 19˚, and 21˚. As optional equipment, a hydraulic side curtain is available for fenceline spreading.
The modular design of the linked segmented rotors allows a wide range of vertical adaptation. The outer rotors reach a maximum point of +2467 mm and a minimum point of -1967 mm.
In a partial lift, the outer rotors are lifted in a straight line up to 1200 mm above the ground. When they return to the working position, they all touch the ground at the same time without any load on the individual wheels.
The machine is equipped with robust HD hinges, which have an additional spring on the outer rotors for smooth running and stability during transport.
Reduced soil compaction
Linked safety railings give the machine extra stability and rigidity. They are connected to the central attachment point of the lifting block, thus reducing the loads on the central frame. Loads are distributed evenly across the entire width of the machine, and system oscillation is reduced.
Three larger tyre sizes are available for the transport frame to alleviate ground pressure, especially when the machine is in partial lift. The tyre dimensions on the wheels of the middle two rotors are also adapted to the higher load on the machine in the middle. This contributes to an even weight distribution and a reduction in ground pressure and soil compaction.
Innovative rotor design
The innovative geometry of the small-diameter rotors and the spring tines of different lengths ensures optimum forage flow and even distribution. The spring tines are made of SUPER C wire with a pair of 5 turns. Curved spring tines are also available.
The main rotor plate is made of 4 mm steel with an additional reinforcing ring on the underside. The spring tine holders are made of round tubes and equipped with safety pins to retain the spring tine in case of breakage.
Compact transport position
The compact transport position of the machine and the large wheels of the transport frame ensure stability and safe transport. The transport length of the machine is 7.3 m, the height is 2.5 m, and the width is 2.9 m.
Mechanical side guards, safety boards and lights are part of the standard equipment. Air or hydraulic brakes are available as optional equipment.
