Scotland was the warmest place in Europe this week. Perfect for the ScotGrass 2019 field day. ScotGrass provides a unique opportunity to not only see all the latest equipment at work but also discusses new ideas with industry-leading experts. The event took place on Wednesday, May 15 near Dumfries.

Companies displayed and demonstrated the grass harvesting equipment on more than 50 hectares of grassland fields. SIP shared its 2 hectares big plot with company Bergmann, the German specialist for forage wagons. SIP attended the event with the main goal to attract new dealers in Scotland. A key decision was SIP’s selection of innovative products displayed at the event. SIP Demo Team demonstrated a set of mowers, tedders, and rakes. Besides the regular set of SIP machines, visitors were able to see the new AIR 500 T - 300 F pick-up rake combination. Thick and heavy grass was an easy job for our SIP Demo Team. Mower combination, SILVERCUT DISC 900 C FC, performed a clean and precise cut. SPIDER 1100|10 T, heavy duty tedder preformed equal spread without lumps in a heavy crop. Double rotary rake STAR 1000|30 T prepared Equal swaths for forage wagon and AIR 500 T combination performed clean and precise pick-up of forage, leaving no traces of grass behind.

SIP expects busy season in the second year after entering the British market. Presentation of the innovative product line at ScotGrass 2019 is an important basis to grow in the northern part of Great Britain, helping brand SIP to grow and to be recognized as a reliable and trustworthy partner. Martin Holden, SIP’s sales representative in Great Britain believes: “The event is an important milestone in the further development of SIP sales in Great Britain. We were delighted with the response from potential new dealers and farmers alike. I am sure we will see a bigger presence of SIP machine in Scotland and Northern England  in the coming  years.”
